Scrapbook Room

There is a small window of opportunity to take pictures of my scrapbook room. And that window usually only lasts for a day if I am lucky. It's when I'm transitioning between albums or projects...I clean everything up...only to mess it up again! I finally seized the moment to take some pictures of my scrapbook room.

I have one side of the room dedicated to the craft. The other side (not pictured) is an L-shaped workstation for my computer, scanners and printers.I still have a long way to go in terms of organizing and putting things away...but a friend once told me, "Organization is not a task it is a process!"

We took out the closet and added shelves and a dresser to hold idea books and supplies. In the other picture, you can see a little bit of the curtains and some fun pictures.

DesktopHere is some of my desktop, which is 8 ft. My ribbon jars are on the painted mantel. I also like to use vases, bowls and ceramic pots to have things at my fingertips. Atmyfingertips

Shelves Embellishmentdrawer1This is one of my drawers. The embellishments are stored in small plastic containers you might normally find at a restuarant to hold packets of sugar. My other drawers are dedicated to tools, stamping, fabric/ribbon, chipboard and rubons.

I keep all my letters in this bucket sorted by color and my scraps of paper in these plastic bins.

The Paper Art Studio

That's my space. The Paper Art Studio. Where paper and your photographs become art.

Right now my space is really a studio without walls. A small hallway just outside my bedroom with built in desk, shelves and a small table is where I spend countless hours. It is a space I have grown to love.....but alas it is just too small. My desk is less than 5' x 2', which makes it hard to transition from project to project...which translates to me doing work on the floor, my bed or any ounce of horizontal space I can find.

In a few weeks, when our cabinets come in, I will be able to officially move into our office and have a lot more workspace. Plus I will be within arms reach of my computer. Not too sure if that is dangerous or efficient. Nonetheless, I am REALLY excited about that!

For the past several months, I have been collecting ideas here and there. It will fun to see it all come together.

Organization:
See Jane Work. Colorful organization. I could really do some damage here!
Hold Everything. Stylish. Simple. Clean. Love that. Especially because my studio will be small and even more so, with the new furniture.

One would think I would be doing my room PINK! Nope. We painted this wall a couple years ago and we're keeping it the same color palette. I realize pink isn't the only color on earth.

P.S. THANK YOU to those who stopped in to say "Hi!" My first day as a blogger was fun!
